Louis Majesty

The Cruise People of London are offering 6- and 8-night cruises on the Louis Majesty sailing from Genoa and Marseilles this December, including an extremely good deal on Christmas and New Year cruises with prices from £249 per person (cruise only, full-board).

Kevin Griffin, managing director of The Cruise People of London, has announced that his company is now offering cruises on Louis Cruise Lines 41,000-ton Louis Majesty (1,460 berths), which begins her first winter season from Genoa and Marseilles this December. The Louis Majesty is offering an extremely good deal on Christmas and New Year cruises at a time when other lines are asking much higher prices.

“Guests may embark on either cruise at Genoa or Marseilles,” according to Griffin, “with cruise-only fares allowing them to make their own flight arrangements,” adding that “the new Louis flagship is presently operating on charter to Norwegian Cruise Line, completing a final season of Bermuda cruises from the US East Coast before entering service in early December.”

The Louis Majesty was built in Finland in 1992 and lengthened to 680 feet in 1997. Among her amenities, Griffin says, “she features a walk-around promenade deck, traditional tiered decks aft, two swimming pools, smart stylish contemporary décor and two forward-facing lounges, something not found on many ships these days. And all suites and junior suites include a full bath.” The “Berlitz Complete Guide to Cruising” also has good words for her, saying that “inside it is quite a pretty ship, and is tastefully appointed, with lots of wood panelling and chrome/copper accents,” adding that “the ship has a nice touch of elegance, and open walking areas provide a fine feel to it.”

The two holiday season cruises are as follows:

“Christmas Special Cruise” – 20th December 2009 (6 nights) from Genoa and Marseilles (21st December) to Port Mahon (Minorca), Tunis, Valletta, Trapani (Sicily) and return to either port. From £249 (was £369) per person for an inside cabin, £359 (was £519) per person for an outside cabin and £499 (was £719) per person for a junior suite, all based on double occupancy, cruise-only, full board with port charges included.

“New Years Special Cruise” – 26th December 2009 (8 nights) from Genoa and Marseilles (27th December) to Gibraltar, Tangier, Casablanca. Malaga, Alicante, Barcelona and return to either port. From £369 (was £539) per person for an inside cabin, £479 (was £699) per person for an outside cabin and £699 (was £1019) per person for a junior suite, all based on double occupancy, cruise-only, full board with port charges included.
