Iberostar Launches Not One, Not Two, But Seven Specially Designed ‘Healthy’ Breakfasts

The Iberostar hotel chain, in collaboration with the Food Sciences Institute of University of Navarre, have recently launched their new sumptuous breakfast menus. Iberostar decided they wanted to provide a rich and healthy gastronomic offering to their guests while also designing the perfect routine for a healthy, well-balanced and nutritional start to the day for any visiting families.

Iberostar has always offered its customers an appropriate choice of healthy foods based on the fabulous Mediterranean diet, but the chain have now decided to offer more to its customers by focussing their energies around the most important meal of the day, breakfast.

Not happy with their standard breakfast offering, Iberostar has joined forces with the University of Navarre to create not one, not two, but seven stunning new menus each scientifically designed to offer good nutrition and balance.

The new healthy breakfast menus are as follows:

1. Traditional – Ideal for a classic breakfast

- Coffee, tea or herbs

- Semi-skimmed milk (240g)

- Whole-wheat sliced bread (60g)

- Jam (10g)

- Margarine (15g)

- Orange (150g)

- Sugar or cocoa or honey (5g)

2. Fibre-Rich – Ideal for helping with digestion

- Coffee, tea or herbs

- Natural yoghourt enriched with cream (250g)

- Whole cereals Kellogg’s all-bran plus (30g)

- 5 grain Muesli (20g)

- Fruit brochette (120g) with kiwi, strawberry, banana and grape.

- Sugar or cocoa or honey (5g)

3. Capricious – Ideal for having from time to time

- Coffee, tea or herbs

- Semi-skimmed milk (240g)

- Chocolate crepe (2 units, approximately 100g)

- Mediterranean fruit salad: Tangerine (50g), Grapefruit (50g), Orange (50g), Sugar or cocoa or honey (5g)

4. Calcium Rich – Ideal for growing children

- Coffee, tea or herbs

- Semi-skimmed milk enriched with calcium (250g)

- White bread (60g)

- Quince paste (10g)

- Nuts (15g)

- Tangerine (120g)

- Sugar or cocoa or honey (5g)

5. Antioxidant – Ideal for a relaxing start to the day

- Coffee, tea or herbs

- Whole bread (60g)

- Burgos cheese (80g)

- Papaya shakes (200g)

- Sugar or Honey (5g)

6. Energetic – Ideal for active guests

- Coffee, tea or herbs

- Semi-skimmed milk (240g)

- Peasants’ bread (60g)

- Extra virgin olive oil (15g)

- Banana (120g)

- Sugar or cocoa or honey (5g)

7. Protein-Rich – Ideal for children and teenagers

- Coffee, tea or herbs

- Natural yoghourt (2 units)

- Whole bread (60g)

- Iberian ham (30g)

- Extra virgin olive oil (5g)

- Raw tomato (20g)

- Tropical fruit salad 120 + sweetener

- Sugar or Honey (5g)

With all of the above exciting combinations and ingredients, Iberostar is essentially turning the traditional hotel breakfast into a more healthy, tasty, wholesome and entertaining experience.
